SEO search engine optimization

If you start your own website, then read this blog. Even if I covered on this blog step by step SEO related topics and heading because without knowledge you can’t rank on google.

Do you want to learn everything about SEO search engine optimization for blogs? Before I teach you how SEO works and how to do it, let’s first go over the definition of SEO, and I Write these blog posts to learn SEO skills. To keep your reader interested, you should think about the structure of your content and keep it enjoyable. If people like and understand an article, they will be much more inclined to share it with others – and that will increase your rankings. So, if you want to improve your writing skills and your rankings, start with these tips on how to write an SEO-friendly blog post.

Do your research. Keyword research is essential for on page optimization. Chances are you are naturally including keywords without realizing it simply by providing valuable content on a topic. However, there are a variety of tools and techniques for finding related keywords relevant to your blog post that you may not have considered. The Google Adwords Keyword Tool and semrush.com both offer great tools that allow you to find keywords related to your topic and even spy on your competition to see what words and phrases they are targeting to bring traffic to their sites.

What is SEO search engine optimization ?

Search engine optimization SEO is the part of google algorithm if you want to rank your website on google so SEO is the most important for ranking your website practice of getting targeted traffic to a website from a search engine’s organic rankings for traffic. Common tasks associated with SEO include creating high-quality content, optimizing content around specific targeted keywords, and link building backlinks.

SEO stands for search engine optimization. SEO is the process of ranking your website on google and your content rank higher on Google.

The difference between SEO and paid advertising is that SEO involves “organic” ranking, which means you don’t pay money to be in that space. To make it a bit simpler, search engine optimization means without paying ranking on google SEO it’s free but not a easy but taking a piece of online content and optimizing it so search engines like Google search engine show it towards the top of the SERP page means ( search engine result page) when someone searches for something.

Look at it this way. When someone types keyword “brownies” into Google, they’re likely looking for a recipe, ingredients, and instructions on how to make it. If you wrote an article about making brownies, you’d want people to find your recipe. For anyone to find it, you need to rank above all the other websites with recipes for brownies. It’s not easy, but that’s what SEO marketing is all about.

Let’s break it down even further: The majority of online searches begin with a search engine like Google. In fact, 85 percent of those searches start on Google.

How SEO Algorithm works

To better understand how you can rank your website content higher on the first page on google , you need to first understand how search engine algorithms work .

The ultimate goal of this article is to help you understand the ins and outs of search so you can optimize your content to rank higher on Google and get more eyeballs on your posts.

1. SEO Search Algorithm

SEO search algorithm is work on three different ways on google and all about improving your site’s rankings in the organic (without any payment) section of the search results because it’s most effective and beneficent is for free organic traffic without any investment and paid advertising like PPC and CPC  .

The main benefit of ranking for a blog to find specific targeted keywords is that you can get free organic traffic on your website.

Google webmaster tool means google search console scans its index of “hundreds of billions” of web pages in step by step order to find a set of results that will best answer according to your search query.

2. Search query

Search query means returning relevant results according to your query, Google must understand what exactly is the user searching for and what’s his search intent.

Meaning of the words – what exactly do the used words mean in the natural language?

Search intent behind the query – what does the user want by using the particular query – definition, review, purchase, finding a specific website ?

The need for the freshness of content – is the query time-sensitive and requires fresh information?

Sometimes it’s very straightforward. If someone uses the search query “apple laptop“, it’s very clear in all the aspects  meaning, intent and the need for freshness.

But sometimes, espacially with general queries, it’s hard to understand what exactly the user meant. In these cases, Google shows what it considers to be the best results but offers additional choices that help to specify the search results.

Even though Google doesn’t make the inner workings of its algorithm public, based on filed patents and statements from Google, we know that websites and web pages are ranked based on:

3. Relevancy

Secondly, the search engine has to find what pages are relevant according to the search query. In other words – to find the pages that answer the user’s search query in the best way possible.

It does so by consistently crawling and indexing all the websites on the internet and analyzing their content.

Relevant keywords are the most important role in your search query. If the search query and the phrases that are related to the search query appear on the page, there’s a high chance the page is relevant for the user.

For example

If you search for “chocolate brownies”, you don’t want to see web pages about  bike tires.

That’s why Google looks first-and-foremost for pages that are closely-related to your keyword.

Ranking is not easy in Google because Google doesn’t simply rank “the most relevant pages at the top”. That’s because there are thousands (or even millions) of relevant pages for every search term.

4. What is quality content

It’s a million-dollar question. Knowing how can write quality content helps you get more traffic, low bounce rates, and higher conversions on your blog. But how do you identify the best quality of your content? The easy answer is: your users. However, this also makes creating the right content very difficult. Because every visitor is different and he finds a different search intent. They have one thing simple, though. Every visitor knows what they want. Meanwhile, you’re still figuring out what your visitor wants to read about.

That’s not how you would expect an article about writing quality content to start, is it? Don’t worry, we’re definitely not done yet! Although the quality of your content is eventually determined by your users, there are a few steps you can take to make sure you end up with well-thought-out, readable, and attractive content. In other words: content that’s eligible to be considered as high-quality by your visitor and search engines. And yes, this will take some time. But it’s time well spent, trust me. Just remember what I said earlier about what you can attain by writing quality content.

How to create quality content

The first step in creating high-quality content is to make sure that it contains the information your audience is looking for. To find out what information your users are looking for, you have to conduct proper keyword research because keyword research is most important for SEO means search engine optimization because users search queries with the help for keywords. This will help you determine what subjects to write about and what words your audience use

1. Write for your readers, not yourself

If you have any other ecommerce website, and you want research to know about the products or services you offer. If you’re a blogger and you write a blog post with deep knowledge, and you want readers to get to know you and the related topics that interest you. However, it is also important to take into consideration what your users actually want to search and read about. What interests do they have? What events or news do they follow, that you can relate to your business?  And what ‘problems’ are they trying to fix that have led them to your site?

The first step in creating high-quality content is to make sure that it contains the information your audience is looking for. To find out what information your users are looking for, you have to conduct proper keyword research because keyword research is most important for SEO means search engine optimization because users search queries with the help for keywords. This will help you determine what subjects to write about and what words your audience uses. Keyword research also helps your rankings, as more visitors and lower bounce rates tell Google that your page is a good result to show in their SERP search engine result page.

2. Make your content readable and engaging

If you want to get your message across and make sure that people read your entire blog post or page, make your content easy to read for the audience. What does this mean? It means thinking about the structure of your text and the words you use because users can easily understand your content according to search queries. Too much text without any headings or paragraphs tends to scare people off, so make sure you use them. They give your readers some air while reading. Additionally, try to limit the use of difficult words and be cautious of the length of your sentences. These can make your content harder to understand, which in turn will slow down your reader. And lastly, it’s good to use variation in your text to make it engaging. Use synonyms, and alternate longer sentences with shorter ones.

Another important thing to focus on: Have fun while writing! And be personal in your writing. This helps you write quality content that’s different from your competitor’s. It’s most important for blogging not the same content and copy paste , and it helps users get to know you and your brand. Want to know more? In this article, we dive deeper into these tips for writing readable blog posts.

3. Think about search intent and your goal

You understand user search intent and your goal its most important for your write quality content. Let’s start with the basics. What does search intent mean? Search intent is the reason why someone conducts a specific search. It’s the term used to describe their purpose. For example, do they have a question they need answered? Or do they want to buy something online ? Someone’s search intent makes a difference in how they consider the quality of your content. If it fits their needs at that moment, then they will stay on your page longer. But if they need an answer to a question and the page they land on only tries to sell them products, they’ll be gone before you know it.

It’s important to take search intent into consideration while you’re creating the content for a specific page. That’s why I would advise you to match your goals to the different search intents users might have. Is one of your goals to get more subscriptions to your newsletter? Then you should add that subscription button to pages where users with an informational intent land and visit multiple times on your blog. It is very helpful for increasing your blog traffic without any effort and users are always updated to your blog.

First you find out: Does a visitor have a transactional intent, let’s suppose  (meaning: they want to buy something)? Make sure they land on the right blog page. If someone searches for the term “Product x”, you don’t want them to land on a blog post discussing a topic related to that product. Ideally, you want them to land on a page dedicated to “Product x”. However, a category page when you have multiple variations of “Product x” works too.so observation is most important for growing your sales or leads.

Of course, experience tells us it’s not always that black and white. Still, it’s good to consider the search intent your users might have. It will help you determine the focus of your content and what call-to-actions you want to add to a specific page or blog post. A great way to get started is by adopting a content design mindset. This mindset helps you produce user-centered content based on real needs. Also, for some input, I would recommend having a look at the search results to create great content.

4. Be trustworthy

When people land on your page, it’s also important to build trust Especially when they’re not familiar with your site yet. You have to show your audience that you’re trustworthy. How? First, by writing in clear and user-friendly & easy to read content . Second, try to stay away from stock photos, as genuine optimized photos create more trust and give your site a personal feel. The same is true for your ‘About us’ page. Try to use actual photos of your team.

Third, add ratings to Google, testimonials to the right pages, and set up HTTPS. This will help your users and Google to understand that your site belongs to an actual business or person, which allows them to happily and safely browse your site. Do you own an ecommerce site? Then have a look at these 7 ways to increase sales by creating trust.

5. Keep your content up to date

Another key element of writing quality content is making sure it’s up to date and relevant because it’s important. This means you have to update your content from time to time to make sure people are able to find the right information not a fake because next time users are not come to your site. But why is this so important? Because it shows your users that you’re on top of recent developments and can always provide them with accurate information. In other words: it builds trust and keeps your audience coming back to your site. Keeping your website and blog posts up to date is also important for SEO, as this shows Google that your site is ‘alive’ and relevant. So, make sure you schedule in a time to update your content consistently and share on multiple social media platforms because social media is helping for your content’s high reach and increase your traffic. So think about it.

6. Bonus: Invest time in site structure

The five steps we’ve discussed so far will help you write content that is easy to read and user-centered. Next, I would like to highlight an extra step that is equally important: working on your site structure. This is important because it will help users and search engines find your quality content.

Site structure refers to the way you organize your site’s content. It is a vital part of any solid SEO strategy. When you structure your site well, search engines will be able to index your URLs better. It helps Google determine the importance of your individual pages and which pages are related to each other. Additionally, a good site structure will allow users to find their way around your site more easily. It will help them find your quality content in the search results and on your website. That’s why there’s quite a lot to gain from perfecting your site structure. Read more on how to work on your site structure and the importance of doing so.

7. A quick recap on quality content

Although well structured and readable content might not instantly take you to the top position in Google, it will definitely have a positive effect on your SEO in the long run. So, before you start publishing post after post (or page after page), it’s worth it to consider a few steps.

Make sure to write for your readers, make your content readable, match search intent with your goals, be trustworthy, keep your content up to date and work on your site structure. The end result: attractive content that your readers will appreciate. This will have a positive effect on your number of visitors, bounce rates and conversions. If you want to find out if there are still areas of content SEO you can improve, you can take this short test. Or take a look at our guide to SEO copywriting for more tips and tricks!

8. Usability of pages

First Most important for your blog desktop and mobile friendly. Now that Google covered the relevance and quality of content, they have to make sure the website has good usability and user-friendliness.

This includes technical aspects such as:

  • Page responsiveness
  • Correct appearance in all the browsers
  • Page speed
  • Security of the website

Its most important factors but they are certainly taken into account when other factors (like relevance and quality) are equal.

9. Search intent

Find out your specific keyword for ranking on google first page SERP search engine result page and keywords that you want to rank for is easy. Just paste a topic into a keyword research tool like SEMrush keyword research tool, then look for relevant keyword ideas with high search volume and low difficulty keywords.

That said, what many people fail to consider is whether their page aligns with their chosen keyword’s search intent.

To demonstrate search intent, let’s look at an example.

Here are the current Google search results for the query “best hosting + free domain”:

Compare those with the results for the query “best hosting”:

Despite the similarity between the two keywords, Google shows two completely different sets of search results. For “make money online ebooks,” they show pages listing lots of recipes. for “make money ebooks,” they show product listings and ecommerce category pages.

Google is interpreting the motive behind the query and showing results the user wants to see.

This is search intent in action.

How do you optimize for this?

Look at the top-ranking pages and ask yourself questions to identify the “3 C’s of search intent.”

Content type: Are most of the results blog posts, product pages, category pages, landing pages, or something else?

Content format: Is Google mainly ranking how-to guides, list-style articles, tutorials, comparisons, opinion pieces, or something entirely different? (Note. This one applies mainly to informational topics.)

Content angle: Is there a common theme or unique selling point across the top-ranking pages? If so, this gives you some insight into what might be important to searchers.

Beyond this, you can also check for the presence (or not) of SERP search engine result page features to infer intent.

For example, if there’s a featured snippet in the results, then this may indicate that the searcher is looking for information.

  • FAQ
  • TABLE OF CONTENT
  • DESCRIPTION
  • GOOGLE RATING

Its all featured snippet and best for seo and must be used in your website for good ranking

If you find a high search volume & low difficulty keyword for your blog so you can try one of the best SEMrush SEO tools it’s amazing for my audience.

Why SEO is important

SEO is the most important factor for ranking your website on Google.  Well, SEO stands for ‘Search Engine Optimization’,  seo is the process of getting free organic traffic, Search engine optimization is the science of improving a website to increase its visibility when people search for products or services. The more visibility a website has on search engines, the more likely it is that brand captures business. Website visibility is commonly measured by the placement or ranking of the site on search engine results pages (SERPs). And companies always vie for the first page, where they are most likely to garner the most attention. Using Google as an example, SERPs often feature ads at the top of the page. These are positions that businesses are willing to pay for to ensure placement on that first page. Following ads are the regular search listings, which marketers and search engines refer to as organic search results. The SEO process aims to increase a business’s organic search results, driving organic search traffic to the site. This enables data marketers to distinguish between traffic that comes to a website from other channels — such as paid search, social media, referrals and direct — and the organic search traffic. Organic search traffic is usually higher-quality traffic because users are actively searching for a specific topic, product or service for which a site might rank. If a user finds that site through the search engine, it can lead to better brand engagement. While there is a way to maximize results, it is almost impossible to fully manipulate search algorithms. Businesses often look to the shortest path toward ideal results with the least amount of effort, but SEO requires a lot of action and time. There is no SEO strategy where something can be changed today with the expectation of clear results tomorrow. SEO is a long-term project, with daily action and constant activity. Search engines use bots to crawl all website pages, downloading and storing that information into a collection known as an index. This index is like a library and when someone searches for something in it, the search engine acts as the librarian. The search engine pulls and displays relevant information from the search query and shows users content related to what they were looking for. Search engine algorithms analyze web pages in the index to determine the order those pages should be displayed on the SERP.

  • Good SEO involves many different activities, such as:
  • Identifying relevant keyword with high search volume & low difficulty
  • Creating high-quality, useful content and use optimizing images, optimizing videos it for search engines and for users
  • Including relevant backlinks from high-quality sites
  • Analyze the results

Organic search vs paid search statistics

From the outset, it’s important that you understand the differences between the organic, natural search synonymous with SEO and paid search. There are five key differences:

1. Position

The first difference is that paid search results appear at the top of search engine results pages, and organic results appear beneath them. Because google gives first priority for paid ads.

2. Time

Another key difference between paid and organic search is time. With paid search, you get near instant results, sometimes in minutes; whereas, with organic search, results take more time – often weeks, months, and even years. So you have to play the medium to long-term game with organic search because your content is expanded over time for ranking on google according to SEO so it’s a long term process but SEO is fully free.

3. Payment

When it comes to paying, well, as the name suggests, with paid search traffic is paid. You pay-per-click (PPC) on a cost-per-click (CPC) basis. What that means is, you pay a fee every time a user clicks on your ad. So instead of relying on organic traffic to your website, you buy traffic for your page by paying Google to show your ad when your visitor does a search for your keyword. For organic search, traffic is free, although it does require an investment of both resources and time.

4. ROI returns of investment

ROI stands for return on investment  In terms of the return on investment or ROI, it’s actually much easier to measure with paid search. That’s partly because Google provides more keyword data that you can capture in Google Analytics. However, with paid search, ROI can stagnate or decline over time. With organic search, ROI is a little bit harder to measure, but it often improves over time. Over the long term, organic search can offer a very good return on investment.

5. Share of traffic

When it comes to the share of traffic, roughly 10% to 20% of searchers click on paid results, and 80% to 90% of searchers click on SEO results. So organic is a very powerfull  share of clicks are actually on the organic results.

Similarities between paid and organic search

Most specific Similarities mentioned on this blog because i identify some most important lines  between paid and organic search results.

1. Keyword research

Keyword research is the same for both paid and organic search because google algorithm only understands specific and relevant keywords for searching queries. You use a search engine for both paid and organic search, and both require a user to enter a keyword. So you need to do keyword research for organic search and paid search.

Keyword research is the process of finding and analyzing search terms that people enter into search engines with the goal of using that data for a specific purpose, with the find keyword you can easily rank on google  often for search engine optimization (SEO) or general marketing. Keyword research can uncover queries to target and show your blog on the SERP search engine result page , the popularity of these queries, their ranking difficulty, and more.  Learning how to find keywords for blogs is a fundamental SEO task that involves identifying popular words and phrases people enter into search engines. When you know what people search for, you can focus content around according to your focus keyword. Researching keywords gives marketers a better understanding of how high the demand is for certain keywords and how hard it would be to compete for those terms in the organic search results, offering some direction to optimization efforts. Keyword research isn’t just about verifying how many searches a particular keyword research does, it’s also about exploring the many multiple ways that people use language to research an idea or topic. As such, researching popular keywords isn’t just a big part of search engine optimization, it’s also a major element of content marketing as a whole.

2. Landing pages

Landing page is created for the purpose of online business for landing your traffic. Both types of search require you to create landing pages. For SEO, the landing page needs to be connected to your website. For paid search, it can be the exact same landing page you use for organic, or it can be a completely separate stand-alone page that sits off your website.

In digital marketing, a landing page is a standalone web page, created specifically for a marketing or advertising campaign. It’s where a visitor “lands” after they click on a link in an email, or ads from Google, Bing, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or similar places on the web. Unlike web pages, which typically have many goals and encourage exploration, landing pages are designed with a single focus or goal, known as a call to action (or CTA, for short). It’s this focus that makes landing pages the best option for increasing the conversion rates of your marketing campaigns and lowering your cost of acquiring a lead or sale.

3. Traffic

Traffic is the most important for growing your both paid and organic search. Generating traffic is a major goal of both paid and organic search. Most importantly, both paid and organic search traffic includes user intent. That is, someone is asking Google a question or searching for information. they are in an active mindset and as a result they are more likely to take action once they find this information.

The three pillars of SEO

As a digital marketer, knowing how to get your brand, website, or company found by searchers is a core skill, and understanding how SEO is evolving will keep you at the top of your game. While SEO changes frequently in small ways, its key principles do not. We can break SEO into three core components or pillars that you need to be familiar with – and action regularly:

SEO techniques for website

1. Technical SEO

Technical SEO Optimization is the process of properly using activities on your site that are designed to improve SEO but are not related to content. It often happens behind the SERP ( search engine result page ) and I mention some important points on this blog post for your overview knowledge.

  • Google search console submit your URL
  • Google analytics tracking code placement on your site
  • Make Sure Your Website is Mobile-Friendly
  • Create and Optimize Your XML Sitemap
  • Speed Up Your Website
  • Fix Your Site Errors by Performing Weekly Technical SEO Site Audits
  • Optimize Internal Links
  • Include Your Main Keywords in Image Alt Text
  • Use Canonical URLs to Avoid Duplicate Content Issues
  • Install an SSL Certificate for Your Website
  • Check and Fix Crawl Errors in Google Search Console
  • Find and Fix Broken Links on Your Site Bonus Tips & Resources

2. On-page SEO

On-page SEO search engine optimization (SEO) because it helps Google and easily  understand on-page seo on your website. The better Google understands your content, the higher you’ll rank in search, which means more organic traffic, conversions, and revenue. Even better, on-page SEO improves ranking and user experience if you do it right and keyword research is first main part of onpage SEO.

On-page SEO (search engine optimization) refers to the process of optimizing pages on your site to improve rankings and user experience. In this step-by-step on-page SEO guide, I’ll explain the most important page-specific optimization best practices you should implement, and why they’re critical to your overall SEO strategy

This is the opposite of off-page SEO, which refers to optimizing for elements outside of your site. This can include backlinks or social media mentions.

Elements of on-page SEO include:

  • Title tags
  • Internal links
  • HTML code
  • URL optimization
  • On-page content
  • Images
  • User experience (UX)
  • Headlines and headers
  • Meta description
  • Title tags
  • Structured date

3. Off-Page SEO

Off-page SEO is one of the essential parts of a successful SEO strategy. We’ll share what it is, how it works, and how to use it to increase your site’s visibility. Off-page SEO refers to all SEO tactics that don’t involve updating or publishing content to your website. In the past, many used “off-page SEO” and ” link building” interchangeably, but in reality, there are many off-page SEO tactics you can use, including:

These tactics help both search engines and users better understand your website and increase your site’s authority, trust, and relevance.

Think of it like this:

  1. Your website = on-page SEO
  2. Another site or platform = off-page SEO
  • On-page SEO covers the tactics you use on your site that help search engines understand your content better and rank. These all fall under on-page SEO, creating content, optimizing title tags, image optimization, and more.
  • Off-page SEO includes activities from or “behind the scenes” of your website.
  • Technical SEO refers to activities that directly impact the indexing and crawling of your site by search engines. Examples include site speed optimization, structured data, and more
  • Let’s take a look at 13 different off-page tactics you can use to grow authority and organic search traffic:
  • Link Building
  • Brand Building
  • Content Marketing
  • PR
  • Local SEO (GMB and Citations)
  • Social Media
  • Forums
  • Influencer Marketing
  • Events
  • Guest Posting

How do search engines actually work

How do search engines actually work?

Search engines are used by people when they have a query and are searching on the internet for the SERP search engine result page. Because Search engine algorithms are computer programmes that look for clues to give searchers the exact results they are looking for. Search engines rely on algorithms to find web pages and decide which ones to rank for any given keyword.

There are three steps to how search engines work:

  • crawling, which is the discovery stage.
  • indexing, which is the filing stage.
  • ranking, which is the retrieval stage.

1. Crawling

The first step is crawling. Search engines send out web crawlers to find new pages and record information about them. We sometimes call these web crawlers ‘spiders’ or ‘robots’. Their purpose is to discover new web pages that exist, and also to periodically check the content on pages they’ve previously visited to see whether they’ve changed or been updated.

Search engines crawl web pages by following links they’ve already discovered. So if you have a blog post and it’s linked from your homepage, when a search engine crawls your homepage, it will then look for another link to follow and may follow the link to your new blog post.

Before Google can even consider ranking your content, it first needs to know that it exists.

Google uses several ways to discover new content on the web, but the primary method is crawling. To put it simply, crawling is where Google follows links on the pages they already know about to those they haven’t seen before.

To do this, they use a computer program called a spider.

Let’s say that your homepage has a backlink from a website that’s already in Google’s index.

Next time they crawl that site, they’ll follow that link to discover your website’s homepage and likely add it to their index.

From there, they’ll crawl the links on your homepage to find other pages on your site.

That said, some things can block Google’s crawlers:

  • Poor internal linking

Google relies on internal links to crawl all the pages on your site. Pages without internal links often won’t get crawled.

  • Nofollowed internal links

Internal links with nofollow tags won’t get crawled by Google.

  • Noindexed pages

You can exclude pages from Google’s index using a noindex meta tag or HTTP header. If other pages on your site only have internal links from noindexed pages, there’s a chance that Google won’t find them.

  • Blocks in robots.txt

Robots.txt is a text file that tells Google where it can and can’t go on your website. If pages are blocked here, it won’t crawl them.

2. Indexing

The second step is indexing. Indexing is when a search engine decides whether or not it is going to use the content that it has crawled. If a crawled web page is deemed worthy by a search engine, it will be added to its index. This index is used at the final ranking stage. When a web page or piece of content is indexed, it is filed and stored in a database where it can later be retrieved. Most web pages that offer unique and valuable content are placed into the index. A web page might not be placed in the index if:

  • Its content is considered duplicate
  • Its content is considered low value or spammy
  • It couldn’t be crawled
  • The page or domain lacked inbound links

3. Ranking

The third step is really the most important step, and that is ranking. Ranking can only happen after the crawling and indexing steps are complete. So once a search engine has crawled and indexed your site, your site can be ranked.

There are more than 200 Google ranking signals that search engines use to sort and rank content, and they all fit under the three pillars of SEO: technical optimization, on-page optimization, and off-page optimization. Some examples of signals that search engines use to rank web pages are.

1. Keyword presence in title tag

the keyword or a synonym was mentioned on the page and within the title tag.

A title tag is an HTML element that specifies the title of a web page. A page’s title tag is displayed as part of the search snippet in a search engine results page (SERP). It appears as the clickable headline for the search result and is important for user experience, SEO, and social sharing. The title tag of a web page is meant to be an accurate and concise description of a page’s content.

Need help writing perfect title tags for your website? Use our free Title Tag Preview Tool by entering your title tag text below to see how it’s likely to appear in Google’s search results.

2. Loading speed of web page

the web page loads quickly and is mobile-friendly

Pagespeed is how fast your page loads. It’s a ranking factor on desktop and mobile.

Why? Once again, Google wants to keep its users satisfied. If their users are clicking on search results that take too long to load, that leads to dissatisfaction.

To check the speed of your web pages, use Google’s Pagespeed Insights tool.

Alternatively, use the SEMrush tool to check for slow-loading pages across your site.

Just head to the “Performance” report and look for the “Slow page” warning.

3. Backlinks

Google’s ranking algorithm is based on something called PageRank.

In simple terms, this interprets backlinks as votes. Generally speaking, pages with more votes tend to rank higher.

How do we know? Last year, we studied almost one billion web pages and found a clear correlation between referring domains (links from unique websites) and organic search traffic.

Long story short, backlinks matter if you want to rank for anything worthwhile.

The problem is that links can be challenging to build, especially to certain types of content like product pages.

There are tons of link building tactics but if you’re new to the game, aim to build links to your best informational content (e.g., a blog post or a free tool).

Here’s one way to do that:

Search for your target keyword on Google. Look for pages that aren’t as good as yours. Paste the URL of that page into our free backlink checker to see its top 100 links.

Consider reaching out to these people, explaining why your content is better, and ask if they’d swap out the link for yours.

This tactic is commonly known as the Skyscraper Technique.

Learn more about this technique, and other backlink building tactics, in the articles and videos below.

4. Backlink authority

Backlink Analytics on Semrush uses Authority Score to measure the impact of a web page or domain’s links. Authority Score is our compound domain score that grades the overall quality of a website or a webpage. The higher the score, the more assumed weight a domain’s or webpage’s backlinks could have.

The calculation can be described in two steps:

Our initial machine learning algorithm uses organic search data, website traffic data, and backlink data to find the most popular and trustworthy domains on the Internet.

A second algorithm (similar to Google’s PageRank) watches how a website gains links to increase or decrease its authority. The metrics in this calculation include:

  • Referring domains (quantity and quality)
  • Follow vs. nofollow links pointing to the site (inbound links)
  • Follow vs. nofollow links leaving the site (outbound links)
  • The number of outbound links from each referring domain
  • Total backlinks
  • Referring IPs
  • Referring subnets

All domain authority scores calculated are relative to the scores of the domains within the same range of authority score. Simply put, this means any improvements by close competitors can lower your score even if nothing on your site changes.

We update Authority Scores for all domains once a month (at the beginning of each month). You can find more explanation on how to use Authority Score for SEO and increase your Authority Score on our blog.

You can also find Authority Score in the Bulk Backlinks Analysis when you expand the Authority Score drop-down. The dropdown will show you the Authority Score data and the number of backlinks, referring domains, monthly visits, and keywords.

Generally speaking, the higher the Authority Score of a domain, the more trusted it is. It is based on a scale of 1 to 100 so the closer the Authority Score is to 100 the better.

As the score increases, the impact of a link will increase. However, the impact of a link also strongly depends on your website’s niche. Authority Score is used more for domain comparison, and not for determining good/bad on an absolute scale.

For example, use these scores in the Backlinks Report or Bulk Backlink Analysis to compare the trust levels of multiple websites. By comparing these scores you can evaluate which domain’s link profile is strongest and will send the most link weight when linking to other sites.

The Basics of WordPress SEO

The Basics of WordPress SEO

Basic wordpress SEO is the most important for starting your own website but i covered some points on this blog because wordpress is a very lengthy topic. SEO can get technical, but it doesn’t have to be. Just learning a few basic SEO tips to optimize your site can give you a noticeable boost in your website traffic.

You don’t have to be a tech genius to use the techniques below. If you’re already using WordPress, then you’ve got what it takes!

Let’s get started optimizing your website. These all point to helpful for your blog and according to your website SEO ranking.

1. Basics of WordPress SEO:

  • Check WordPress visibility settings
  • WWW Vs. non WWW

2. Ways To Boost WordPress site SEO

  • Add your WordPress Website to the Search console
  • Implement WordPress Sitemap
  • WordPress Permalink (Search friendly URL’s)
  • Implement Breadcrumbs navigation
  • Optimize blog post and pages for target Keyword:
  • Perform Keyword research for your WordPress Website
  • Use Focus Keyword
  • Regularly clean broken links
  • Improve Internal Linking in WordPress
  • Use Structured data markup
  • Use SSL and HTTP
  • Prevent duplicate content penalty
  • Replytocom and URL Parameters
  • Search intent optimization with SEO Title and Meta Description
  • Image Alt text and Image Sitemap
  • Optimize WordPress Loading Speed

3. Check your site’s visibility settings

WordPress comes with a built-in option to hide your website from search engines. The purpose of this option is to give you time to work on your website before it’s ready to go public. This option is a purpose of not showing your website on google search engine without your instruction.

However, sometimes this option can get checked accidentally and it makes your website unavailable to search engines.

If your website is not appearing in search results, then the first thing you need to do is to make sure that this option is unchecked.

Simply log in to the admin area of your WordPress site and visit the > Settings > Reading page >

You need to scroll down to the > Search Engine Visibility section and make sure that the box next to >Discourage search engines from indexing this site’ is unchecked.

Don’t forget to click on the ‘Save Changes’ button to store your changes.

4. Using SEO friendly URL structure in WordPress

SEO friendly URLs contain words that clearly explain the content of the page, and they’re easy to read by both humans and search engines.

Some examples of SEO friendly URLs are:

Notice that these URLs are easy readable and a user can guess what they will see on the page just by looking at the URL text.

So what does a non-SEO friendly URL look like?

Notice that these URLs use numbers unrelated to the content, and a user cannot guess what they will find on the page by looking at the URL.

Using SEO friendly permalink structure improves your chances of getting better positions in search results.

Here is how you can check and update your WordPress site’s permalink structure.

You need to visit the Settings » Permalinks page. Select the post name option and then click on the ‘Save Changes’ button to store your settings.

For more detailed instructions take a look at our guide on what is a SEO friendly URL structure in WordPress.

Note: If your website has been running for more than 6 months, then please don’t change your permalink structure unless you’re using the numbers option. If you’re using Day and Name or Month and Name, continue using that.

By changing your permalink structure on an established site, you will lose all of your social media share counts and run the risk of losing your existing SEO ranking.

If you must change your permalink structure, then hire a professional, so they can set up proper redirects. You’ll still lose your social share counts on the pages.

5. WWW vs non-WWW in URLs

Another important WordPress SEO question asked by many users is, to use WWW (https://domain.com) or non-WWW (https://www.domain.com) at the time of WordPress installation.

Search engine treats WWW and non-WWW as two different websites, so you need to pick one and stick to it. This could be configured at the time of setting up WordPress, by going to > Settings > General > change your URL address ( wordpress address) and ( site address ) > save changes done and your URL address is automatically changed.

there is no SEO benefit of choosing either of them. However, I recommend using the non-www version, as the shorter version of URLs is better for sharing on social media or elsewhere..

WordPress SEO plugin:

There are many WordPress SEO plugins out there for various purposes. For example:

  • Overall SEO: Yoast SEO, RankMath, All in one SEO
  • Internal link SEO: Linkwhisper

I’m a huge fan of the RankMath SEO plugin that constantly adds new SEO features and is free and reliable. Be it a usual content-based website or an e-commerce based website,RankMath SEO helps you in optimizing your website for SEO.

6. The Best WordPress SEO Plugin

Best wordpress SEO plugin is One of the best parts about WordPress according to my experience  is that there’s a plugin for everything, and SEO is no exception. There are thousands of WordPress SEO plugins which makes it available for beginners to choose the best WordPress SEO plugin for ranking your wordpress website. Most bloggers use two famous SEO plugins, RankMath or Yoast. Both plugins are popular for blogging as a beginner.

Instead of installing separate plugins for individual SEO tasks, we will help you choose the best WordPress SEO plugin that does it all, and it’s 100% free.

When it comes to choosing the best WordPress SEO plugin, you will most likely narrow your choices down to the two most popular solutions.

The best WordPress SEO plugins make it easier to optimize traffic to your website.

WordPress is a (CMS) Content Management System that has always been very SEO-friendly out of the box, with a range of features that were both simple and innovative since the start.

For example,

WordPress comes with an easy-to-use URL rewrite system that has never bothered with session IDs in URLs like a lot of community-driven software that was developed around the same time. With a single click you have the option to move from dynamic URLs to simple URLs using dates, numbers, and/or simply letters. The result is a simple and clean set of URLs that have always been easy for search engines to crawl.

The best result is that today WordPress is the ( CMS ) content management system of choice and can make for a great website that is fully SEO search engine optimization friendly.

However, despite the great foundations, there are always different ways in that the SEO of a WordPress website can be improved. This may only involve small changes or tweaks, but enough applied could provide a cumulative advantage that is the difference between a successful website and a very successful website.

In this blog we’ve mentioned the best free WordPress SEO plugins, looking at the top features of each, including customization options, meta data and schema functionality,

I am sharing my experience. RankMath is one of the best SEO plugins because RankManth is providing free schema markup for lifetime. I am already used to this website and Yoast does not provide free schema markup so I recommend my audience only to the RankMath plugin.

  • All in One SEO
  • Yoast SEO
  • MonsterInsights
  • Rank Math
  • Premium SEO Pack
  • WP Meta SEO
  • W3 Total Cache
  • Rankie
  • SEO 2021 by SQUIRRLY
  • Redirection
  • Schema – All in One Schema Rich Snippets

7. Google Search Console add with your site

Google search console is one of the best tools for indexing your website URL. Google Search Console, also known as Webmaster Tools, is a set of tools offered by Google to give website owners a look at how their content is seen by the search engine.

It provides reports and data to help you understand how your pages appear in search results. You also get to see the actual search terms people are using to find your website, how each page appears in the search results, and how often your pages are clicked.

All this information helps you understand what’s working on your site and what’s not. You can then plan your content strategy accordingly.

Google Search Console also alerts you when there is something wrong with your website, like when search crawlers are unable to access it, find duplicate content, or restricted resources.

We have a step by step guide on how to add your WordPress site to Google Search Console.

Once you have added your website to Google Search Console, click on the Sitemap from the left menu and then paste the last part of the sitemap URL.

Click on the submit button to save your changes.

Google Search Console will now check your sitemap and use it to improve your website’s crawling.

Once you have successfully added your sitemap, it will appear as pending. It does take Google some time to crawl your website. After a few hours, you would be able to see some stats about your sitemap. It will show you the number of links it found in your sitemap, how many of them got indexed, a ratio of images and web pages, etc.

We recommend that you check your Search Console at least on a monthly basis for gathering insights and to see your website’s SEO progress.

Along with Google Search Console, you should also use MonsterInsights to analyze your organic traffic. MonsterInsights makes it easy to see insights from Google Analytics right from your WordPress dashboard.

Add XML sitemaps in WordPress

Are you wondering what is an XML sitemap, and how to add it to your WordPress website?

An XML sitemap helps search engines easily navigate through your website content. It gives them a list of all your content in a machine-readable format.

In this article, we will explain what is an XML sitemap, and how to easily create a sitemap in WordPress.

1. What is an XML Sitemap?

This XML sitemap is a folder that step by step all your website content in a XML sitemap format, so SEO search engines like Google can easily find out and index your content and show your content on ( SERP ) search engine result page  according to user search queries .

While some websites still have HTML sitemaps today, the overall usage of sitemaps have evolved.

Today sitemaps are published in an XML format instead of HTML, and their target audience is search engines and not people.

Basically, an XML sitemap is a way for website owners to tell search engines about all the pages that exist on their website.

It also tells search engines which links on your website are more important than others, and how frequently you update your website.

if XML sitemaps will not boost your search engine rankings, they allow search engines to better crawl your website. This means they can find much more content and start showing it in search results thus resulting in more search traffic, and improved your website SEO rankings.

2. Why You Need an XML Sitemap?

An XMLSitemaps are most important and effective from a search engine optimization (SEO) point of view.

Simply adding a sitemap does not affect search rankings. However, if there is a page on your site that is not indexed, then sitemap provides you a way to let search engines know about that page.

An Sitemaps are most amazing and useful for when you first start a blog or create a new website because most new websites don’t have any backlinks. This makes it harder for search engines to discover all of their content.

This is why search engines like Google and Bing allow new website owners to submit a sitemap in their google search console webmaster tools. This allows their search engine bots to easily find out and index your content on google search and show your content on search engine page results.

Sitemaps are equally as important for established popular websites as well. They allow you to highlight which part of your websites are more important, which parts are more frequently updated, etc, so search engines can visit and index your content accordingly.

That being said, let’s take a look at how to create XML sitemap in WordPress. If you’d prefer written instructions, just keep reading.

A <script> tracking code is required to track your website. You’ll be taken directly to the Tracking Code section after setting up your account. The tracking code must be on every page you wish to track. There are a few ways to do this:

•   Copy and paste the code directly into your website template.

•   Create a “analyticstracking.php” file with the code and add <?php include_once(“analyticstracking.php”) ?> after your template’s <body> tag.

•   Check your web host, website builder or blog platform for Google Analytics integration. For instance, there are several plug-ins on WordPress that will automatically add the tracking code to every page. Some website builders have a specific page or field where you simply enter your tracking ID. Others — such as Blogger and Squarespace — require only your Google Analytics web property ID or account number, a string of numbers prefixed with the letters UA that identify your website.

1. Star tracking

One of the best things about Google Analytics is that it offers a range of metrics that users can customize to fit their needs. All of Google Analytics’ features can be accessed and configured from the left sidebar.

Google Analytics automatically scans more than 20 major search engines, such as Google, Bing, Yahoo, MSN, AOL and, of course, all of Google’s properties. It also includes searches from international search engines like Baidu as well as searches from major websites like CNN.

3. Custom reports

Custom reports allow you to configure metrics based on your own categories that are not included in the default settings. For instance, if you own an online store, this section allows you to track traffic based on things such as size, color and product SKUs. You can also integrate external data sources, such as your customer relationship management (CRM) software. Just click on the Customization tab and create your metrics.

4. Social settings

It’s not enough to simply run a social media marketing campaign. It’s imperative that you track your results, too. Google Analytics can help by integrating social media into your tracking metrics. Although you can’t add your Google Analytics tracking code to your social media accounts, what you can do is add them under Social Settings. For instance, if you own a YouTube channel, you can track activities by adding your account using your YouTube URL.

To track social media campaigns, click on Acquisition on the left sidebar. Here you can add campaigns, track landing pages, monitor conversions and more.

WordPress is already providing you to sort your blog posts into categories and tags. This makes it easy for you to manage your content by topics, and for your users to find the content they’re looking for.

Categories and tags also help search engines understand your website structure and content.

Often beginners get confused about how to best use categories and tags. After explaining this to thousands of readers, here’s how we approach categories and tags.

Categories are meant for the broad grouping of your posts. If your blog was a book, then categories will be the table of contents.

For example, on a personal blog, you can have categories like music, food, travel, etc. Categories are hierarchical, so you can add child categories to them.

On the other hand, tags are more specific keywords that describe the contents of an individual post. For example, a blog post filed under the food category can have tags like salad, breakfast, pancakes, etc. Think of these as indexes section in a textbook.

For more on this topic, see our guide on categories vs tags and SEO best practices for sorting your content.

By using categories and tags properly, you make it easy for your users to browse your website. Since it’s easy for users, it also makes it easier for search engines to browse your website.

6. Create internal linking on blog

Internal linking is very important as a SEO factor. Search engines assign each page on your website a score (page authority). The recipe of this score is kept secret so that people cannot game the results. However, the most common signals of authority are links.

This is why it’s important that you link to your own content from your other blog posts and pages.

You should make it a habit to internal link your own posts whenever possible. If you have multiple authors, then create a pre-publish blog post checklist that requires them to interlink at least 3 other blog posts.

This will help you boost your pageviews, increase the time users spend on your site, and ultimately will improve the SEO score of your individual blog posts and pages.

To make internal linking even easier, on blog posts you easily convert your traffic from the first blog to second blog.

SEO Assistant automatically crawl the links on your WordPress site and gives you relevant internal linking suggestions that you can add to your content in 1-click.

7. NoFollow external links in WordPress

As mentioned above, links help search engines decide which pages are important. When you link to a website, you are passing some of your site’s SEO score to that link. This SEO score is called “link juice.”

For good search rankings, you need to make sure that you are getting more link juice from other websites than you are giving away.

Adding the “nofollow” attribute to external links (links to websites that you don’t own) instructs search engines not to follow those links. This helps you save link juice.

A normal external link looks like this in HTML:

<a href=”http://example.com”>Example Website</a>

An external link with the nofollow attribute looks like this:

<a href=”http://example.com” rel=”nofollow”>Example Website</a>

By default, WordPress does not come with an option to make links nofollow. However, if you’re using the RankMath plugin, it makes it easy for you.

When you’re adding a link, simply click the Add “nofollow” to link option.

8. WordPress Optimize comments

Comments are connected with user retention Comments can be a strong indication of user engagement on your website. Engaged users mean more links back to your site, more traffic, and improved SEO.

However, you need to make sure that your comments are real and not spam. Spammers submit comments with bad links which could affect and even ruin your search rankings.

This is why we recommend everyone to start using Akismet. It is one of the two plugins that come pre-installed with every WordPress site, and it helps you combat comment spam.

If Akismet alone is unable to handle comment spam, then see these tips and tools to combat comment spam in WordPress.

If your blog posts attract a lot of genuine, spam-free comments, then you should pat yourself on the shoulder for building such an engaging website!

However, too many comments on a post can make it load slower which also affects your search engine rankings. (Keep reading below to find out more about how speed affects SEO.)

To prepare your website so that it can handle the burden comments put on your server and speed, you can split comments into multiple pages. See our tutorial on how to paginate comments in WordPress.

9. posts vs summaries (excerpts)

When you write your content, first check your WordPress displays and links to your posts from a number of pages like the home page, category archive, tags archive, date archive, author pages, etc.

By default, it shows the full article content on all these pages. This affects your site’s SEO, as search engines may find it to be duplicate content. Full articles also make your archive pages load slower.

Showing full articles everywhere also affects your page views. For example, users who subscribe to your RSS feed will be able to read the full article in their feed reader without ever visiting your website.

The easiest way to solve this is by showing summaries or excerpts instead of full articles.

You can do this by going to Settings » Reading and selecting excerpts.

10. WordPress Website for Speed and Security

WordPress website is best for speed and security Even if you follow all the WordPress SEO tips and best practices above, if your site is slow or gets taken down by a hacker, your search engine rankings will take a big hit. Here’s how to prevent your site from losing search engine traffic due to slow performance or lax security.

When it comes to security, there is no WordPress-specific type of security that exists. All problems with security are common for all websites or applications.

WordPress security problems are of great interest, though, because it powers about 40% of the web and is open source.

Web usability experts believe that users decide whether they want to stay or leave within a few seconds of visiting a website.

That means that as a website owner, you only have a few seconds to present your content and engage users. You don’t want to waste this precious time making your visitor wait for your website to load.

Optimize image is best for website speed because without optimize image is very loaded on google search and users go on to the next website and never ever come on your website next time so be careful and use only optimize image on your website. Images are more engaging than text but they also take more time to load. If you are not careful with image sizes and quality, then they can slow down your website.

You need to make sure that you use images that are optimized to load faster. See our guide on how to speed up WordPress by optimizing images for the web.

Another trick you can use to optimize your images for search engines is to use a descriptive title and alt tags. These tags help search engines understand what your image is about. They also help users with visual impairment as their screen readers can read the alt text to them.

WordPress allows you to easily add title and alt tags when you upload an image.

If you are a photographer or add a lot of images to your WordPress site, then you need to use a gallery plugin.

We recommend using the Gallery alongside SEMrush. In our speed tests, we found it to be the fastest WordPress gallery plugin. It’s also fully responsive and SEO friendly out of the box.

13. Security and safety of your WordPress site

WordPress is the most popular content management system (CMS), with 43.2% of all websites running on its software. Unfortunately, its popularity attracts all sorts of cybercriminals who exploit the platform’s security vulnerabilities.

This doesn’t mean that WordPress has a terrible security system – security breaches can also happen due to the users’ lack of security awareness. Therefore, it’s best to apply precautionary security measures before your website becomes a hacker target.

We will discuss 22 methods to improve WordPress security and protect your site from various cyberattacks. The article will include best practices and tips – with or without WordPress plugins. Some methods are also applicable to other platforms than WordPress.

14. How to Secure Your WordPress Website?

  • Keep your site up to date.
  • Use secure wp-admin login credentials.
  • Setup safelist and blocklist for the admin page.
  • Use a trusted WordPress theme.
  • Install an SSL certificate for a secure data transfer.
  • Remove unused WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Enable two-factor authentication.
  • Create backups regularly.
  • Limit the number of failed login attempts.
  • Change your WordPress login page URL.
  • Automatically log out idle users.
  • Monitor user activity.
  • Regularly scan your site for malware.
  • Disable the PHP error reporting feature.
  • Migrate to a more secure web host.
  • Disable file editing.
  • Use .htaccess to disable PHP file execution and protect the wp-config.php file.
  • Change the default WordPress database prefix.
  • Disable the XML-RPC feature.
  • Hide your WordPress version.
  • Block hotlinking from other websites.
  • Manage file and folder permissions.
15. Start using SSL/HTTPS

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a technology that encrypts the connection between a user’s browser and the server they are connecting to. This adds an additional security layer to your WordPress site.

Websites secured with SSL are indicated by a padlock sign in the browser’s address bar. This makes your website more trustworthy, and it is required if you are running an online store with WordPress and processing sensitive payment information.

All top WordPress hosting companies offer free SSL certificates with Let’s Encrypt. See our guide on how to get a free SSL certificate for your website for more details.

If you want a premium wildcard SSL certificate or just a regular certificate with security warranty, then we recommend using Domain.com.

Their SSL certificates come with a minimum of $10,000 security warranty and up to $1.75 million security warranty. You also get a TrustLogo site seal to display on your site for added credibility.

I recommend my audience hostinger hosting because hostinger is providing lifetime free SSL certificate.

The process of optimizing your keyword for search engine is called “On Page SEO“. Since, you are using data with your emotions, it would help you maximize your work.

The good thing about Keyword research skills is, once you put this into practice, it just keeps getting better and buy hosting & domain with my coupon code: amitkumar

Let’s understand this with an example…

Earlier I talked about a father looking to buy a “dress” for his son. Now, lets assume you are a business who is into selling baby dress. (You could be anyone, and replace baby dress with your product). By using keyword research tools, we could find data like which keyword “Also known as queries, question, search term” a parent is using on a search engine to find a solution.

The following result is from a tool called “SEMrush“, that shows similar queries with a lot of data as shown below:

Let’s try to understand what’s happening in this image. (Even if you don’t understand 100%, don’t worry as this is normal for a beginner.)

  • Keyword: This is the query users are asking to find the best baby dress . When doing SEO, this is the phrase that we “target”, so we often call this as “target keyword” or “Focus keyword”.
  • Volume: This tells you roughly how many people are searching for that particular keyword in a given month. This is a very important metric as even if you assume a search term will be popular, search data will tell you otherwise. In the above example, you can see two similar keywords which have a considerable difference in monthly search volume:

Best rated baby dress : 150 searches/month

Best rated baby dress 2018: 30 searches/month

  • Trend: This one helps you to see if the keyword trend is going up (more people are searching) or going down (fewer people are searching). For example, iPhone 11 Pro could be a popular term in 2019-2020, but as a new iPhone is released, this term will lose value. You will understand this in-depth, as we move ahead in our keyword research guide.
  • Keyword difficulty: This is an important metric that helps you understand, how difficult or easy it is going to be rank for a target keyword on the first page of Google. These tools, compare all the existing ranking pages for things like “On page SEO”, “Backlink profile”, “domain authority” and a few others, to rank such queries. The lower the rank is, easier it would be to rank for.

Like this, there are many matrices you will be getting when you start with Keyword research.

Before we move ahead,

Do read my earlier guide on difference between SEO keywords and queries, it will help you create a better mindset for keyword research.

Moving ahead, lets look at the benefits of keyword resarch.

What are the importance of keyword research

Not all keywords are equal, and let’s try to quantify this. The process of Keyword research could help your business (Blog, ecommerce, service or any other) in the following ways:

  1. Keyword research helps you understand the language used by your target audience on a search engine. We typically use Google search as a base, since it’s the biggest search engine.
  2. It helps you discover untapped queries that could directly help you get paid customers from organic searches such as Google search, and others.
  3. Engaged audience: The audience that you will be receiving is already hot (ready to buy), and you will get high engagement in the form of comments, sharing or even as a sale.
  4. Market and customer trend: Periodically, performing Keyword research will help you to understand in which direction the market and customers are heading.
  5. Competitive advantage: Incorporating keywords and SEO before your competitors, will give you a solid advantage. If done right, in a less crowded niche, it could help you earn a lot of backlinks as a first mover advantage.
  6. Reduce PPC Cost: Keywords SEO will help you drive those traffic for free, which a business usually pays for in the form of PPC. Such organic ranking could significantly reduce your business digital marketing cost.
  7. More Ad revenue: Marketers and bloggers who rely on income from Google AdSense or Media.net could use the Keyword research to find high CPC keywords and thus increase their ad revenue significantly, with the same effort.
  8. There are many more advantages of Keyword research, the above few are the prime one. Here is a less known fact about Keyword research: A lot of people mistake keyword research as the process of finding only high volume keywords, which is not the fact. The task of you as an SEO is to remove those keywords which are not going to benefit your business in any way. Moreover, after finding profitable keywords, you will also learn how do you prioritize them for maximum benefits in a shorter span.

Now, I’m not going into details of how you should target it, but if you are curious, you should read these two guides:

  • How to write SEO friendly content
  • On Page SEO Guide – The only guide you will ever need

The good thing about Keyword research skills is, once you put this into practice, it just keeps getting better.

Now, it’s time to get into the technicality of KW research.

2. Define your goals & Make a list of relevant topics

3. Create a list of seed keyword

4. Use best keyword research tools

5. Study the search intent

6. Identify long tail keyword

7. Find out about your competitors

These are all specific heading of keyword research its most important and major part of keyword research.

1. Study your niche

Find out your niche and which niche in your passion and interest because interest is most important on your business niche means category so let’s suppose when you start your any type of business so you have any one specific niche when you search on internet so google search result show on desktop screen many type of niche available so you can deside which niche is best for you and long time easily work on your niche some time many people are start blogging without any knowledge so after few month quite to blogging because people have not any knowledge according with your niche so if you have deeply according with your niche so you can easily start your any type of business.

  • Get involved in your topic or niche’s online communities, like forums and social media networks. Read the discussions and find out any pain points that are mentioned regarding your niche.

2. Define your goals & make a list of relevant topics

Define your goals setup is the ending target of your business because without set goals you never ever achieve your success all big business are win your target after set your goals if you are start any kind of business goals setting is must be use on your work.

  • Once you have effectively answered these questions, then you need to specify what is your brand’s mission. Do you want to increase the number of subscribers? Or do you have a sales target by a certain date?
  • It’s important to define your goal because it will provide a direction for your SEO strategy and plan. The search terms that you will eventually use should be aligned to your goals, ideally segmented into different content marketing funnels. Your goals will also inform the purpose of your SEO copywriting and content.
  • Write down your goals. Draw charts. Document them. These will provide the framework and direction needed for your top-level content and online marketing strategy.

Make a list of relevant topics

Based on your the main category of your brand and the goals you aim to achieve, Make a list of all the topics related to your brand that you want to rank on Google.

For example, my target audience for this blog is primarily marketers and small businesses looking for help with their SEO and digital marketing strategies. This means I want pages from my website to appear in the SERPs when my audience searches for terms related to SEO and digital marketing.

Let’s say someone in my target audience is searching for “what is SEO?” I want to make sure I have content on my website that comes up early in the results for that search term. Luckily, I do! Here are some of the top results for the phrase.

For example, if you’re an tech brand specializing in tech products, some topics that are related to your brand can be:

  • laptop
  • mobile
  • software

They need to be topics that are important to your business and related to your buyer personas. Think about what type of topics will your target audience search for on Google? if your business is tech product so some time buyer search on google specific tech product like laptop , mobile , and any kind of software . so you can easily make a list of relevant topics. which product is your main list of relevant topics and then you can easily make list of goal.

3. Creare a list of seed keyword

Before beginning any keyword research process, you need a starting point. Or several starting points. These are your “seed keywords.”

Your seed keywords are used to grow the list that will become your keyword strategy.

When coming up with seed keywords, you often start with your best guess. Here are questions you can ask yourself to help you brainstorm:

  • What’s my website about?
  • What do I sell?
  • What keywords do I think I want to rank for?
  • What keyword ads would I buy?
  • If someone were just beginning to research the topic of my site, what words would they use to start?

Getting specific

When choosing seed keywords, it often helps to get specific. If you run a car shop in the USA, you might think “car” would be a great keyword, but in reality, it’s so broad and so competitive it likely wouldn’t do you any good. Instead, try being more specific.

Poor seed keyword: car

Good seed keywords: car repair manuals, used car parts

Seed keywords for existing sites

If you have an existing website, a powerful place to find seed keywords is uncovering keyword phrases you already rank for. These are phrases Google already finds relevant to your website, and you’re going to have an easier time ranking for phrases related to these seeds.

Note: If you are building a new website and/or don’t have any ranking keywords yet, see the section on seed keyword for brand new sites and topics.

There are two quick ways to find seed keywords you already rank for.

1. Seed keywords via Keyword Explorer

One of the more powerful uses of Keyword Explorer is its ability to show you the ranking keywords for any website, including your own.

  • Navigate to the Ranking Keywords report
  • Choose “root domain” (or subdomain/exact URL, depending on your needs)
  • Enter your website or URL
  • Select keywords ranking #4-20 (adjust this based on your preferences)

By default, the United States market is selected, but Keyword Explorer also supports the UK, Canada, and Australia

Hit “Analyze”

When you get results, the next part is very important: Sort the results by “Monthly Volume” (highest to lowest).

In this example, we used a site that sells car parts. Now we can select high-volume, ranking seed keywords that are most relevant to the website.

Note that we selected keyword phrases ranking #4-20, meaning we’re filtering out keywords we already rank highly for. It’s fine to adjust this filter to any setting you want. By using this process, we hope to find seed keywords:

  • with a good amount of search volume
  • that are relevant to our site
  • that we don’t already rank highly for

In this case, we found terrific seed words like “car accessories” and “car jack” We also want to ignore ranking keywords that may be irrelevant to our business such as “wheels spanner ” (assuming we don’t sell them).

4. Use best keyword research tools

Use best keyword research tools for easily ranking your blog on google search engine keyword research tools is most effective for early rank. keyword tool is a analyze what is keyword search volume and low keyword density because high search volume and low density keyword are easily rank on google so good keyword research tool its very important.

Keyword research tool and SEO tools can help you come up with more keyword ideas based on exact match keywords and phrase match keywords based on the ideas you’ve generated up to this point. Some of the most popular ones include:

  • Ahrefs
  • SEMrush
  • Ubersuggest
  • Google Keyword Planner
  • SECockpit
  • Keywords Everywhere
  • Moz
  • KeywordTool.io
  • KWFinder

5. Study the search intent

Search Intent (also known as “User Intent”) is the main goal a user has when typing a query into a search engine. Common types of Search Intent include informational, commercial, navigational and transactional. when user search keyword on google so

For example, let’s say you want to cook up some kale for dinner. But you’re hungry and want to eat NOW. So you head to Google and search for “quick kale recipes”. The first result you click on looks OK at first. But you quickly realize that the recipe takes over an hour. So you quickly click over to the search results to find something else. And the next time you strike gold. This result is a recipe that takes 10 minutes from start to finish which is EXACTLY what you’re looking for. If enough people that search for “quick kale recipe” feel the same way, that result will get a significant rankings boost.
Simply put: satisfying Search Intent is ultimately Google’s #1 goal.

So if you want to succeed with SEO and content marketing today, Search Intent needs to be a big part of your approach. In fact, Google’s most recent edition of their Quality Rater Guidelines are OBSESSED with Search Intent. And Google recently published a report called: “How Search Intent Is Redefining the Marketing Funnel
In other words: keyword and other traditional Google ranking signals still matter. But if your page doesn’t satisfy Search Intent, it’s not going to rank. Let’s look at a real life example of Google ranking a page higher in the results based largely on Search Intent. So in theory, this post should have ranked in the top 3 for my target keyword: “SEO strategy”. But that wasn’t the case. In fact, that post was stuck on the 2nd page of the search results for MONTHS. And when I looked at the other results that were ranking for that term, I realized that my post didn’t satisfy user intent. Not even close. Most of the other content that was ranking for “SEO strategy” outlined a high-level SEO approach. You want to take a look at the Search Intent for your keyword… before you write a single word. As it turns out, 99% of all search terms fall under 4 different intent categories: informational, navigational, commercial and transactional. And you can usually figure out Search Intent based on the keyword itself.

For example, a keyword like “buy a laptop stand” is obviously commercial. But a keyword like “do laptop stands help with neck pain” has clear informational intent. Even if Search Intent is obvious, you still want to look at the pages that already rank for that keyword. The pages on the first page have obviously passed Google’s user intent test. Otherwise, they’d be buried on page 10. So you want to create a page that closely matches what you find on page 1.

Search intent is the purpose of a user’s search. It’s also referred to as audience, user, or keyword intent.

Because people’s queries reflect where they are in the conversion funnel, understanding search intent can help you create effective content that targets potential customers.

Why Is Search Intent Important to SEO?

How well you understand search intent impacts your ability to rank and whether your readers are satisfied with your page’s content. Google even goes into detail about intent in their Quality Evaluator Guidelines.

How frustrated would you be if you wanted to learn about how motorcycles work, but all your search results tried to sell you one instead? That experience is what you’re trying to prevent by adding user intent into your SEO strategy.

A thorough understanding of search intent can help you:

Do more effective keyword research by targeting search terms that align with your business’s and your audience’s needs.

Create content that answers user questions and structure pages in a way that’s friendly to both users and search engines.

Rank higher by creating content that search engines understand to be more valuable and relevant to their users

The 4 Types of Search Intent

While they often overlap, you can break search intent down into four basic categories:

  • Navigational intent: Trying to find something (e.g., “Subaru website”)
  • Informational intent: Trying to learn more about something (e.g., “What’s a good car?”)
  • Transactional intent: Trying to complete a specific action (e.g., “buy Subaru Forester”)
  • Commercial intent: Trying to learn more before making a purchase decision (e.g. “Subaru vs. Nissan”)

6. Identify long tail keyword

Long-tail keywords are search queries that consist of 3-5 words and tend to be more specific to the user’s search intent.

They are usually much easier to rank for than more general keywords like “head keywords” or “head terms.”

If your site is new, or you are not highly ranked right now, it can take years of hard work and continuous improvement to rank for highly competitive head terms like “digital” or “marketing.”

Using our Keyword Overview Tool, we can see below that trying to rank for the head term “digital” has a keyword difficulty of 100%.

But a long-tail keyword like “digital marketing for business growth” has a keyword difficulty of just 57%, making it a keyword much easier to rank for.

Targeting your audience using long-tail keywords can position your content faster than a head term. Even if the long-tail keyword search volume isn’t as high as the head term, if you place your website on multiple first pages of SERPs across many long-tail keyword variations, you could still bring in a lot of traffic.

Now, let’s look at some keywords that would be easier to rank for.

Long-Tail Keyword Examples

Before further exploring long-tail keywords, let’s look at examples of words that don’t qualify as long-tail keywords. For example, the keywords below don’t qualify as long-tail keywords because they don’t reach the 3-5 word requirement.

Some examples:

  • Seo expert
  • Blog post
  • digital marketing
  • social marketing

Variations of long-tail keywords work as well–Google can understand related keywords and variations.

  • Search engine optimization expert
  • How to write blog post
  • digital marketing for online earning
  • Social media marketing for business growth

Long-tail keywords take their name from a graph of Google’s search results.

Below is a graph of how the search volume decreases as the search queries get more specific. At the same time, the possibility of conversion dramatically increases.

Why Long-Tail Keywords Are Key for Boosting Traffic and Conversions

By targeting long-tail keywords instead of head keywords, you are more likely to attract visitors interested in your site, product, or service. Here’s why:

Easier to Rank

There is a ton of competition and results for common head keywords since they are broader. At times, a head term can have billions of results. But for a long-tail keyword that is more focused, there may be millions of results. For instance, the term “marketing” generates 876 million search results, whereas “digital marketing for business growth” generates only 7.4 million search results. Lower search results mean less competition, making it easier for your content to rank.

Targets The Audience Better

A user’s search query can help us determine search intent, whether it is navigational, commercial, transactional, or informational. Since long-tail keywords tend to be more specific and less competitive, someone who searches for a long-tail keyword is probably ready to make a purchase or commitment.

Someone who searches for a general keyword, on the other hand, might just be doing preliminary keyword research or weighing all their options. But chances are, they already know what they want, now they need to find it. Of the two users, the second is the one you want on your site, and search intent can help you determine how your long-tail keyword will target the user.

I have written a lot about keyword research and its benefits. One of the major mistakes I have seen many people make is that they will target direct keywords instead of long-tail keywords (LTK) .

You may notice that the long tail keywords have fewer searches, but the competition for these two keywords is far less than it is for the short-tail keyword.

Also, long-tail keywords drive more targeted traffic than short-tail keywords do, so your conversion (sales, email sign-ups) improves a lot.

Keyword research is one topic, which every blogger should learn from day one. Probably, every Blogging for SEO blog you have read till now, I’m sure Google Keyword Planner (previously Keyword Tool) and “Keyword research” are not a new term for you.  But if not, you are missing out on the basics of any Blog SEO.

Blogging has evolved from just quality content to SEO optimized social content. Writing quality content is a must, but at the same time, it’s good to have a properly optimized article to rank well in search engines. This is where on-page SEO comes into the picture.

On the page, SEO starts with selecting the right keyword for your post, and the keyword should be one which has search volume. That means people are searching for that particular keyword.

Here is one question you should ask yourself: Even though I’m writing quality content, why am I unable to drive enough traffic from search engines? Well, I’m sure Google doesn’t have anything against you unless you are doing Black Hat SEO.

The reason is, you are not writing on topics that people are searching for. Or even you are writing on a topic that is trending, but you are making it hard for search engine bots to understand your content. I have already covered how to write SEO optimized articles in WordPress, and today you will learn how to use the Keyword Planner tool for researching Keywords.

To start with; if you are not sure why Keyword searches before writing a blog post, you should read my post on the Importance of Keywords in SEO.

  • Google auto suggestion tool

Google’s Autocomplete service (example shown above) is a technical term used for the search suggestions you see when searching Google. This service is intended to speed up your search interaction by trying to predict what you are searching for when using Google.

Here is the AMAZING thing!

These suggestions are predictions based on the most popular search terms related to what is being typed in the search box. And the best part is, these predictions (suggestions) are from real people using Google as their search engine. Therefore, Google is telling you exactly what search terms (keywords) are the most popular. No more guesswork, period.

Keyword Tool Dominator – Unlocking Autocomplete

Keyword Tool Dominator unlocks the Autocomplete service by emulating a real human user, and repeatedly typing in hundreds of search terms into Google. Each time a search term is typed, Google provides a list of predictions (keywords and long tail keywords) of what it thinks you are searching for. Keyword Tool Dominator then simply saves all of these predictions and presents them to you.

  • Google auto suggest

When you enter a search phrase into Google, the Auto Suggest tool produces search suggestions in a text box below the main search window. You can then click on one of the choices to run a suggested search. As a business owner, you can influence this autocomplete tool to include suggestions that will help promote your business. By getting your desired suggestion to appear in Google Auto Suggest, more surfers can find your website in Google search results.

Effects: Some suggestions provided by Google Auto Suggest can actually help Google users find your website. For example, assume that your name is (earnwithblogtech.com) and that you share an earn with blog tech . If you can manage to get “earn with blog tech” to come up as a suggestion when people look to earn with blog tech, then you increase the odds of getting new visitors to your website. Conversely, the search suggestion “earn with blog tech” could be devastating to your business. As a business owner, your goal is to avoid potentially negative suggestions while blogging with the research tool to provide positive phrases that will help promote your business.

Before we tackle how to find your niche in blogging, let’s talk about the basics first.

You see, the majority of successful, self-made bloggers began with three core markets: Wealth, Health, and Relationships.

Don’t believe me?

On the top of your head, come up with as many popular blogs as you can.

Fitness, weight loss, business, real estate, retirement, dating all these niches derive from the three core markets.

Improve your search engine visibility Sometime in your blogging career, you need to learn and use SEO or Search Engine Optimization practices. Sticking to a single niche and consistently publishing relevant content is one such practice.

Tailor your marketing decisions Apart from SEO, your niche should also be taken into consideration when planning other marketing strategies. Social media marketing, for example, requires you to choose the right network preferred by your audience and competitors.

Alternatively, is your buyer persona someone who’s always looking for a good deal, and would appreciate a link on a coupon site? Or are they more interested in doing tons of research before purchasing, making your promotion efforts more worthwhile on a review site?

While those are questions you’ll have to consider for yourself, let’s take a look at some general types of affiliate programs so you can begin brainstorming potential avenues for your own marketing efforts:

Search Affiliates

With this program, freelancers or entrepreneurs pay their own money to promote your offer on search results or other online advertising platforms like Facebook Advertising. While you’ll want to ensure your partner is following search and advertising guidelines, this could work in your favor if your partner has an SEO background and wants to A/B test to see which ads result in the most referrals for you and most ROI for them.

Bloggers and Influencers

If there are impressive bloggers or social media influencers in your industry who engage with your ideal buyer persona on a regular basis, you might consider partnering with them. For instance, if you sell kitchen appliances, it might be good to reach out to bloggers or YouTube influencers who post recipes, and ask if they’d feature your product as a “recommended tool” in their next recipe post. Ideally, this would result in your target audience taking a look at your website, and if they like the products you offer, could provide additional revenue for the influencer.

Review Sites

If you offer a product or service that is more expensive or niche, it’s likely that most of your buyers need to conduct research on that topic before purchasing. If that’s the case, it might be a good idea to research the top review sites related to your product or service. Reach out to the business or writer who published the piece, asking whether they’d be interested in providing an affiliate link to your product or service in the text.

Coupon Sites

If you’re offering a new product or service that isn’t popular in the marketplace, you might try creating an affiliate partnership with a coupon site for a limited time. While you don’t want to lose money by giving your product away at a discount, it could be effective at getting some first-time buyers to check out your website and become brand advocates.

Email Marketing

This is best in small doses. You don’t want any partners sending out bulk emails to customers who aren’t interested in your products or services, but with proper consideration for who’s receiving the email, this could be an effective method. For instance, if you sell design tools, you might partner with marketing agencies and ask them to include a link to your site within emails they send to design clients. This could help their clients leverage your tools to create higher-quality content, while giving agencies an added source of income. Are you a blogger or small business who would like to join an affiliate program to generate income Below, we’ll explore the top affiliate programs that you can join in your industry. how to Find out Your Niche online With Some Steps

Niche is a specific part of blogging without niche never setup your blogging careers
  • Think about your interests and passions
  • Solve problems for your audience
  • Competitor analysis
  • Find out best keyword research
  • Find your niche
  • find your micro niche
  • Test your idea

how to find your niche

Think about your interest and passions

First You can find which is your interest and how you passions with your interest because interest and passion is a two different way of point some time multiple people are start any type of business but his not consistently work with your own interest so think about your interest and passions in which niche means categories some people are dont know means niche so i already use word categories is a simple word of niche.

The first step is to forget about making money, or pulling in huge waves of traffic. Take that pressure off, settle down in a comfy chair, and maybe find some colored pens to make this activity as fun as possible.

You’re going to think about what you’re passionate about. What makes you tick? What are you an expert in, purely because you enjoy it so much?

Write down whatever comes to you – it doesn’t matter if it feels silly, or if you’ve already dismissed it as being a hobby you could never monetize. Get everything down on paper, because you never know when a good idea could spring up from the page.

Here are some things to think about if you’re struggling for inspiration:

What do you look forward to in your spare time, or even in your professional life?

What blogs or websites do you enjoy visiting?

Do you have any subscriptions? What are they? Why did you sign up?

Is there a topic your friends always turn to you for answers about? What are you an “expert” in?

Do you belong to any clubs? What are they, and why do you enjoy them?

It’s good to write all these things down, even if they feel obvious, because things you may take for granted about yourself might be a great niche idea. Getting it all down on paper helps otherwise invisible skills and interests come to light.

For example, you might love baking, but never have thought about how you could turn that into your niche, because it’s just something you do on the weekends. Combine that with your love of Harry Potter, and hey presto – you have a great idea for a children’s party business.

If you enjoy and have a genuine interest in your niche, this gives you an edge over the competition. You’re more likely to put more time, effort, and attention into the project than if you picked a niche at random

Solve problems for your audience

If you’ve already found your favorite niche idea or are wondering how to narrow down your options, now is the time to put your potential niches under a microscope and see if they really survive.

The first thing you need to do is identify the problems in your potential niche and decide if you can solve the problems for your target group. This is the basis for any profitable business – you need to combine a love of practice and provide solutions for your customers.

You need to understand the pain points of your audience to get an idea of what issues they have to deal with. There are a few simple ways to do this:

Browse online communities. Take the time to read questions, comments, and discussions in forums such as Quora, in comment sections on related sites, in review sections, or in support groups. Make notes of any common issues or issues that you think I may be able to resolve.
Talk to people. Sit face to face with one of your target groups and ask her questions to find out what her painful points are, what can speed up their lives, what they think is missing from the market and so on.

Look at the competitors. Identify key players in your potential niche and find out what issues they have solved. Are they missing important gaps that you can fill? Take a look at their social networks to see what customers are saying and imagine how you can offer something unique and useful.
Try to think outside the box to identify problems. For example, popular products or services may seem very expensive to you, which is a problem for customers on a tight budget. Can you offer the same service for less money? Or make it more comfortable?

A good example is Uber, which makes getting a lift cheaper and easier than flagging a taxi on the street. It takes an existing service, finds the problem and then fixes it with the app to make it easier to book elevators – with great effeout

Find out the best keyword research

What is keyword research?

Keyword research is defined as an activity of analyzing and finding a list of valuable keywords for the purpose of Copywriting SEO. Keywords, or the term search, often a guide for the direction of your content and marketing strategies.

Keywords can consist of one word but more often than not made of several words. For example, “the term search” is a keyword, such as the “best keyword search tool”.

Why is the research on important keywords?

Finding the term high volume search itself is not enough. You need to make sure that the keyword SEO used in your content matches your brand, product, or service with the keywords used by your customers. And this is where keyword research occurs.

After you do adequate and comprehensive research, only that way you can create a decent SEO strategy. With a good strategy, you can then make a detailed action plan to achieve your goals.

For example, if you are in a business renting a vacation house, your content may contain keyword focus “Holidays.” But without the right keyword research, the keyword used is probably “vacation house.”

Although it is still a technical correct term, there may be a mismatch of what your potential customers look for on Google.

The keyword you choose to use is what your target audience is looking for. Only that will make efforts to optimize your pages useful.

But more importantly, two similar keywords often have different search volumes, trends, and competition levels. Choosing a volume keyword that is more relevant and higher can give you better results than with semantic or other related keywords.

The best way to start keyword research is with questions you want answering. How many people are searching for this term? What are people searching for? Why? And so on, until you have a clear image of exactly what people are searching for within your niche, and why.

Keyword research is also important for discovering exactly which keywords to target. By typing a general topic into the keyword tools above, you’ll start to discover more specific keywords. Look out for common questions people search for, and new related topics you hadn’t thought of.

Often, keywords with huge search volume are also extremely competitive, making them difficult to rank for. So don’t aim for the biggest, baddest, most popular keywords you can find – instead, try to balance reasonably popular keywords that don’t yet have tons of competition.

Keyword research is all about understanding what people are searching for – you want to find keywords with a high search volume, because that means lots of people are searching for it.

There are plenty of online tools to help you carry out keyword research. Five of the best ones include:

1. Google Trends. This free tool analyzes the popularity of search terms over time, meaning you can track which keywords are on the rise, or if interest in a particular keyword is falling.

2. Google Adwords: Keyword Planner. This free tool is a great starting point for gathering information on possible keywords. It pulls data straight from Google and gives you clear insights on suggested keywords, average search volume, competition, and more. It’s easy to use, helpful, and free – perfect for beginners.

3. Ubersuggest. This free tool works well alongside Google Adwords Keyword Planner, and is perfect for finding new, related keywords to target. You also receive content ideas, and you can even enter a competitor’s domain to gain insight into their SEO strategy.

4. SEMrush. This is pretty much the ultimate keyword research tool, giving you an all-in-one service that covers everything from specific keywords being used by your competitors, to long-tail keywords and related search queries. SEMrush has a seven day free trial, then costs $99.95 per month unless you cancel.

5. Ahrefs Keyword Explorer. This tool provides keyword suggestions and tells you how difficult a keyword is to rank for, which is useful when trying to break into a new niche. It has a seven day trial for $7, then costs $99 per month.

best SEMrush keyword research tool for finding low competition for your content.

Find out your niche

You should now have a pretty good idea of what niche you’re going to get into. Maybe you haven’t narrowed your list down to a single topic area, but you’ve likely found a few ideas you feel pretty good about. At this point, it’s important to get an idea of how much money you have the potential to make in your niche. ClickBank is a great place to go to start your search.

So, browse top products in your category. If you can’t find any offers, that’s not a good sign. It might mean that nobody has been able to monetize the niche.

If your search does turn up a decent number of products — but not an overabundance of products — you’re in luck. Make note of price points so that you can price your own products in a competitive manner.

Also keep in mind that you don’t have to start your business with a product offering of your own. You can partner with products creators, advertisers and site owners in your niche to begin generating commissions while you’re working on your unique solution.

For example, let’s say you’re a baker using Instagram as a platform to convert users into hungry customers. You may think “cupcakes” are your niche, but that’s just scratching the surface. In this article, we’ll help you discover how to pull the layers back and build a niche that will drive traffic, results, and revenue.

Another problem is that, since the term searched involves everything that is related to your niche, you can even have many visitors but they won’t all be qualified. This means that the bounce rate can be high, since your product or service is not exactly what everybody is looking for.

Of course, your niche might not work this way, or you might find that you don’t get any pre-orders. That’s okay! Launch your niche online – start off small, and constantly measure and test your website or store to track how people are engaging with your niche.

Once you’re done writing, go ahead and click on the Publish button on the top-right corner of the screen to make your blog post publicly available.

On the posts screen, you will notice several other sections such as Categories and Tags. You can use these to organize your blog posts into sections. We have a great writeup on the difference between categories vs tags, which we highly recommend that you read.

To utilize all the features on the posts screen, you should read our article on how to add a new post in WordPress (video included).

It covers how to embed videos, add blog images, headings, table of content, sub-headers, bullet lists, call-to-action buttons, social media posts, and all other shortcuts you need.

Often beginners are confused between posts and pages menu in the WordPress dashboard. That’s why we have also written a complete guide on the difference between posts vs pages in WordPress.

5. Plugins & Customizations

Once you have written your first sample blog post, you probably want to get started with adding other usual elements on your website such as contact forms, galleries, sliders, email list, forums, etc.

To add all these additional features, you need to use plugins.

WordPress plugins are apps that allow you to add new features to your website (without writing any code).

There are over 59,800 WordPress plugins available in the free WordPress plugin directory alone. This means no matter what you want to accomplish, there is a plugin for it.

We have a step by step guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

That being said, let’s take a look at how to use plugins to add some essential features to your WordPress blog.

6. How to Create a Contact Form in WordPress

Every website needs a contact form. It allows your users to email you directly. Since WordPress doesn’t come with a built-in contact form, you will need a WordPress form builder plugin to add a contact form on your site.

We recommend using the WPForms Lite plugin. It is a free version of the popular WPForms plugin, which is #1 in our list of best contact form plugins for WordPress.

Over 4 million websites use WPForms!

You can install the plugin by going to Plugins » Add New page and typing WPForms in the search box. Next, you need to click “Install” and then “Activate”. Upon activation, you need to head over to WPForms » Add New page to create your first form.

This will open the WPForms builder interface.

First, you need to enter a name for your contact form and then click on ‘Simple Contact Form’ template.

This will open the WPForms builder interface.

First, you need to enter a name for your contact form and then click on ‘Simple Contact Form’ template.

WPForms will now create a simple contact form for you with all the required fields. You can click on any field to change it, or add a new field from the left column.

Once you are done editing the form, click on the save button at the top right corner and then exit the form builder.

You can now create a new page in WordPress by going to Pages » Add New and call it ‘Contact’. On the edit screen, you need to enter the WPForms block into the editor.

After that, select the form you created earlier from the drop down menu and WPForms will load a live preview of the form in the editor.

You can now save and publish the page and visit it in your browser to see your contact form in action.

It’s a best practice to test your form to make sure you’re receiving the notifications. If you don’t get the notification, then you should see our guide on how to fix WordPress not sending emails.

If you need more detailed instructions, then see our step by step guide on how to create a contact form in WordPress.

As a blogger, the best part about WPForms is that it grows with you. Aside from simple contact forms, you can also use it to create reader surveys, polls, guest post submission forms, and more.

7. keyword research for blog post

Keyword research is an essential phase of content development.

Remember, you may be the most talented writer in the world. But without a keyword strategy, it’s nigh impossible for your blog to generate organic traffic.

That’s because keywords allow content to rank in search engine results.

For example, I optimized this post for the keyword “Grammarly discount.”

So, whenever someone searches for that keyword on Google, they can find my post.

To look for target keywords, you need to get yourself a decent keyword research tool.

My top recommendation would be the Keyword Magic Tool from Semrush.

It’s a little bit pricey, sure. But it has everything you need to be competitive in your niche’s SEO arena.

Besides, you can count on the free trial to get you a handful of profitable keyword ideas per day.

To use it, simply create a free trial account and click ‘Keyword Magic Tool’ under the “Keyword Research” sub-menu.

On Keyword Magic Tool’s main interface, just plug in any broad keyword related to the topic you have in mind.

For example, if you want to write a copywriting guide, you can start nice and easy with the keyword “copywriting.”

Keyword Magic Tool will immediately present you with a list of keyword suggestions relevant to your query.

Also included are crucial keyword metrics like search volume, keyword difficulty, and Cost Per Click (CPC). These numbers will help you find lucrative keyword opportunities that can help a budding blog grow.

If you want better keyword suggestions, you can make them more specific by using filters.

Since you’re planning to write a guide, you can use the “Include keywords” filter to narrow down your keyword pool. Simply click ‘Include keywords’ and type in the keywords related to the topic you want to write about.

8. How to Setup Google Analytics Tracking

Google Analytics helps you see how many people are visiting your blog, where they are coming from, and what are they doing on your website.

It is best to install Google Analytics when starting your blog, so you can see how much your blog has grown over time.

First, you need to visit Google Analytics website and sign in using your Gmail account.

Once you are logged in, you can go ahead and sign up for a free Google Analytics account.

You will be asked to provide your information and website URL. After that, you will be presented with your Google Analytics tracking code.

You can stop here because we will be using a plugin to automatically fetch and add this code to your blog (along with setting up proper WordPress tracking).

Switch to your WordPress admin area to install and activate the MonsterInsights plugin. It is the free version of the best Google Analytics plugin for WordPress, and it is the easiest way to add Google Analytics on your site (trusted by over 3 million websites).

Upon activation, you need to visit Insights » Settings page to configure the plugin settings.

On the settings page, click on the ‘Connect MonsterInsights’ button to connect Google Analytics to your WordPress site.

Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup. Once done, you will be able to see your website analytics report straight from your WordPress dashboard under the MonsterInsights tab.

For detailed instructions, see our article on how to install Google Analytics in WordPress.

9. How to Optimize Your WordPress Blog for SEO

Most beginners don’t optimize for SEO when creating a blog. SEO or search engine optimization helps users find your blog in search engines.

If you want more traffic, then it’s crucial that you optimize your blog for SEO right from the beginning.

To get started, first you need to install and activate the All in One SEO plugin. It is the complete WordPress SEO plugin that will help you optimize your blog.

The plugin comes with a quick configuration wizard to help you walk through the set up. It will help you setup a WordPress sitemap, write proper keywords and meta description, add schema markup, and a whole lot more.

We also recommend you to follow our complete step by step WordPress SEO guide to set up your blog’s SEO.

Now there are other SEO plugins like Yoast SEO, RankMath, etc, but we recommend using AIOSEO because it offers the most beginner friendly interface for new bloggers.

Aside from a WordPress SEO plugin, you can further optimize your blog content by using a keyword research tool. These SEO tools help you come up with new content ideas that people are searching for around your topic.

You can even see the exact keywords your competitors are ranking for, so you can create better content and outrank them.

This helps you maximize the traffic on your new blog site right from the beginning. For more details, see our newbie’s guide on how to do keyword research for your own blog.

12. Google AdSense

Many bloggers make money by showing ads on their blog. If you make a blog with monetization in mind, then Google AdSense is the best way to do this.

It is the largest advertising platform for bloggers and publishers. Acting as a middleman between you and the advertiser, Google allow advertisers to bid for keywords matching your content. This allows you to get the best rates possible for the ads.

13. Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is the second most commonly used monetization strategy among bloggers. Basically, you recommend your favorite products / services to your readers, and when they make a purchase you get a referral commission.

The key in affiliate marketing is to recommend high-quality products and services that you already use and trust. There are plenty of affiliate marketing plugins and tools for WordPress that can help you make more money when promoting affiliate products. We recommend using PrettyLinks or ThirstyAffiliates as a must have.

We also have a complete step by step affiliate marketing guide for beginners, that will help you get started with choosing the right affiliate program and strategies to monetize your blog today.

How Does Affiliate Marketing Work

Because affiliate marketing works by spreading the responsibilities of product marketing and creation across parties, it manages to leverage the abilities of a variety of individuals for a more effective marketing strategy while providing contributors with a share of the profit. To make this work, three different parties must be involved:

Seller and product creators.

The affiliate or advertiser.

The consumer.

Let’s delve into the complex relationship these three parties share to ensure affiliate marketing is a success.

1. Seller and product creators.

The seller, whether a solo entrepreneur or large enterprise, is a vendor, merchant, product creator, or retailer with a product to market. The product can be a physical object, like household goods, or a service, like makeup tutorials.

Also known as the brand, the seller does not need to be actively involved in the marketing, but they may also be the advertiser and profit from the revenue sharing associated with affiliate marketing.

For example, the seller could be an ecommerce merchant that started a dropshipping business and wants to reach a new audience by paying affiliate websites to promote their products. Or the seller could be a SaaS company that leverages affiliates to help sell their marketing software.

2. The affiliate or publisher.

Also known as a publisher, the affiliate can be either an individual or a company that markets the seller’s product in an appealing way to potential consumers. In other words, the affiliate promotes the product to persuade consumers that it is valuable or beneficial to them and convince them to purchase the product. If the consumer does end up buying the product, the affiliate receives a portion of the revenue made.

Affiliates often have a very specific audience to whom they market, generally adhering to that audience’s interests. This creates a defined niche or personal brand that helps the affiliate attract consumers who will be most likely to act on the promotion.

3. The consumer.

Whether the consumer knows it or not, they (and their purchases) are the drivers of affiliate marketing. Affiliates share these products with them on social media, blogs, and websites.

When consumers buy the product, the seller and the affiliate share the profits. Sometimes the affiliate will choose to be upfront with the consumer by disclosing that they are receiving commission for the sales they make. Other times the consumer may be completely oblivious to the affiliate marketing infrastructure behind their purchase.

Either way, they will rarely pay more for the product purchased through affiliate marketing; the affiliate’s share of the profit is included in the retail price. The consumer will complete the purchase process and receive the product as normal, unaffected by the affiliate marketing system in which they are a significant part.

Online Store

Many bloggers make money by selling things directly from their blog. This could be physical products, digital downloads like ebooks, artwork, music, and more. Some bloggers even offer consulting services.

We recommend using WooCommerce because it is the best eCommerce plugin for WordPress. It is also the most commonly used eCommerce platform in the world.

For detailed instructions, see our guide on how to easily create an online store using WordPress.

Some bloggers don’t want the hassle of creating a store to sell their own products, so they create an Amazon affiliate store which lets them sell other people’s products from Amazon and earn a commission.

On top of the 3 methods above, you can do so much more with your WordPress blog. You can make WordPress blogs specifically for reviews, fashion blogging, food blogging with recipes, and more. Each of these blog types brings you more unique opportunities to make money.

You can also turn your blog into a membership site to offer premium content and courses. We have a detailed guide on how to create and sell online courses with WordPress.
